As with all Korg tuners, this model offers supremely accurate tuning and fast response time. The tuner uses LED guides for visual indication. The tuner's BFTS mode is for guitar that is designed with the Buzz Feiten Tuning System. The Buzz Feiten Tuning System (BFTS) adds slight adjustments to the pitch (similarly to "stretched tuning" on a piano) to make your playing sound its best from low through high ranges, regardless of chords or keys. The tuner can operate in the chromatic or BFTS mode. In both modes, the tuner automatically detects the note being played. In the BFTS mode, you can choose bass, acoustic or electric. In addition, you can also choose whether to tune using open string or 12th fret (when 12 fret is pressed). As a chromatic tuner, it has a wide tuning range of A0 to B7 with pitch shift from 438 Hz to 445 Hz. The tuner can also generate sound for tuning through an amplifier. The range of the sound generation is from C2 to B5. This is used for using sound to tune your instrument. The tuner features a very easy to read display and easy to use buttons. With Input and Output jacks, the tuner also allows itself to be connected to guitar cables and tuning can be done more accurately. The tuner also comes with a mute switch jack and can be used with a latching type footswitch. This is perfect for on-stage silent tuning.
