2007 Extended Return Policy for
Christmas and Holiday Orders
We will accept returns of all orders placed between
Nov.
19 and Dec. 24, 2007. We must receive an email
requesting for an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) by Jan. 2, 2008 and
the returned item by Jan. 9, 2008. The item must be returned in mint and
re-sellable condition with all original manufacturer packaging.
Restocking fee is waived for all orders that meet these conditions. Opened
CDs, opened cassettes, are installed strings are not returnable.
Shipping, Handling, and Insurance charges are not refundable.

If your product becomes defective within the first
ten (10) days after receipt of merchandise, you may return it for a same-item exchange only, subject to manufacturer/publisher restrictions.
All non-defective returns for credit or exchange are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Customer is responsible
for the cost of shipping merchandise to and from Music Basics
Installed strings and opened DVD, VHS, CD and
tape are
not returnable unless defective.
For violins, violas, violin bows and viola bows,
dents and scratches on the product are not considered as defects. For
dents and scratches on violins, violas, violin bows, and viola bows, you can
only return the product for exchange. These returns are subject to a 15%
restocking fee. You must pay for the shipping and handling for shipping
the product back to our warehouse. Your credit card will be charged shipping and
handling for shipping the exchanged product back to you.
Manufacturers make periodic changes to product
specifications without informing its partners hence these changes sometimes are
not reflected in the product photo and/or description. These returns are
for exchange only. You must pay for the shipping and handling for shipping
the product back to our warehouse. Your credit card will be charged shipping and
handling for shipping the exchanged product back to you.
Before returning any item, you must contact our Returns and Replacement Department via email at
CustomerService@MusicBasics.com within the first
ten (10) days after receipt of merchandise for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
Any claim for damaged product and request for a Return Merchandise Authorization
(RMA) number must be made within 48 hours after receipt of merchandise. No returns, of any type, will be accepted without a RMA number. Please include the following information in your email when requesting a replacement: (refer to your Invoice)
- Order Number
- Name
- Email address used to place the order
Once you have obtained a RMA number, please refer to the following instructions when sending your original item back:
- All items must be in "as-new" condition, in original packaging and with all warranty cards, manuals and accessories. There will be a $35.00 re-box fee for products returned in a damaged packaging and/or display box. Be sure to insure your package before you ship it.
- Remember to include your invoice from the original order. Invoice can be a photocopy or original.
- You must write your RMA number on the outside of the package.
- All items being returned must be received in our warehouse within 10 business days (two calendar weeks) of receipt of your RMA number and return instructions.
If the returned items are received in our warehouse after 10 but before 15
business days, only 50% of the credit will be given. If the returned
items are received in our warehouse after 15 but before 20 business days,
only 25% of the credit will be given. No credit will be given for
returned items received in our warehouse after 20 business days.
- All shipping and handling must be prepaid by the customer.
