This metronome is compact, has volume control, pendulum simulation, beat setting, tone generation, pitch shift, and tap in functionality. Furthermore, it has a slit for using the metronome on the music stand and a strap hole. The metronome, even though pocket size, has an amazing speaker. It produce the loudest sound for metronomes in its class. The volume control allows the metronome to be used even with loud instruments. The sophisticated visual/audio combination features authentic chimes and claves sound for strong and weak beats. The metronome comes with a bank of 5 LEDs that simulates pendulum motion found in a traditional metronome. The LEDs have successive lighting capability that produces a "light trail" effect making the pendulum motion more realistic. This greatly enhances the visual sensing of tempo. This feature is great for students who are just learning how to count. The metronome features one of the widest range of beat and rhythm settings on the market. The beat and rhythm patterns are highlighted by the chime and clave sounds. It has 0-7 beats. This helps to highlight strong beats in the music. It has 6 different rhythms including duplet, triplet, quadruplet, duplet with rest, triplet with rest, and quadruplet with rests. The metronome has an amazingly useful features that no other metronome has on the market. It has a narrow slit on the back of the metronome that allows the metronome to be 'hooked' onto the music stand securely. This is very useful when playing with a stand.
